Susan Collins is a politician who has been serving as the senior United States senator from Maine. She is a member of the Republican Party and has held her seat since 1997 making her Maine’s longest-serving member of Congress. Aside from her political career, Collins is also a wife and has been married to Thomas Daffron since 2012.
They turned their working relationship into a marriage as Daffron is a lobbyist who consulted Collins’ senate campaigns in 1996, 2002 and 2008. They have known each other for years but it is not confirmed when they actually got together. He has worked as chief operating officer at Jefferson Consulting Group in Washington, D.C. from 2006 to 2016.
