Karine Jean-Pierre established a name for herself as a political commentator, activist, and author. Before politics, she was a lecturer in international and public affairs at Columbia University. She rose to prominence as the senior advisor and national spokeswoman for Move On Organization and a political analyst for MSNBC and NBC News.
During the 2020 presidential campaign, she became the first Black woman to be the chief of staff for Kamala Harris. She was soon appointed as the White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary during the Biden administration. With this rich background, Jean-Pierre is given an annual salary of $155K. The 2022 documentary “The Mehdi Hasan Show” featured her career.
