Antony Blinken has been the 71st United States secretary of state since January 2021 under the presidency of Joe Biden. For his role, he maintains an annual salary of $305K. Before that, he had an extensive experience as a government official and diplomat.
During the Clinton administration, he took in-charge of the State Department and National Security Council. When Barack Obama took office, he served as the deputy national security adviser and deputy secretary of state. Blinken is known for his significant efforts in crafting U.S. policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran. Outside of politics, he ventured into the private sector and co-founded the consulting firm WestExec Advisors.
