Jake Sullivan (National Security Advisor) – $180K
Jake Sullivan started early as a visiting professor at Yale Law School and as the editor of the Yale Law Journal. When he ventured into politics, he served as the deputy chief of staff to Hillary Clinton at the U.S. Department of State and senior policy advisor to Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
He also lent his expertise as a deputy assistant during Obama’s administration. Even before he took office, Joe Biden had already announced Sullivan to be his national security advisor in 2021. His turn in the White House had him earn $180K annually. Staying close to the field, Sullivan is married to a fellow political advisor, Margaret Goodlander.
