Bernie Sanders is a well-known politician who as the junior United States senator from Vermont since 2007. He began his career as a member of the Liberty Union Party, and by 1981, he became the 37th Mayor of Burlington. He has also competed in two presidential elections.

While he may be heavily to politics, he is just as committed to his wife of over three decades, Jane Sanders. They met when he was campaigning for his mayoral elections in the ‘80s. They began dating soon after and in 1998 they tied the knot. She supported him throughout his entire political career.
