The 56th Governor of Louisiana since 2016 and a successful politician, John Bel Edwards is a member of the Democratic Party and has served as the Democratic Leader of the Louisiana House Of Representatives. Edwards married a teacher, Donna with whom he has two daughters and a son namely Sarah, Samantha and John Miller.

John and Donna’s daughter Samantha was diagnosed Spina bifida when Dona was 20 weeks into her gestation. However, this happened long after the beginning of the couple’s romance when the two met during their time as high schoolers after which they decided to tie the knot in 1989.
