When she was 16, Lauren Laverne and three others started a band called Kenickie, which achieved a top-10 hit album and four top-40 hit singles. Laverne achieved fame as a member of the band and released her solo EP titled “Make These Flowers Away” in 2000.
Her first television appearance was on “The Alphabet Show,” with Chris Addison, after which she’s presented several shows such as “Loves Like A Dog,” “Planet Pop” “Party in the Park,” and “Pop.” She became a BBC Two Presenter when she covered Glastonbury’s Festival and reportedly earns about £395K at BBC.
