Evan Davis was initially an economics editor at the BBC for more than six years before joining the team of presenters on “Today” in 2008. Before that, he was an economist at the London Business School and the Institute of Fiscal Studies before he got recruited at BBC in 1997 to work in BBC Two’s “Newsnight.”

Davis is the author of several books, most notable of which are “The Penguin Dictionary of Economics” and “Public Spending.” He began presenting “Radio Four’s PM” in November 2018 and gets paid £270K at the corporation.
