Also one of the highest-earning employees at the BBC with £325K annual income, Emily Maitlis is the lead anchor of BBC Two’s “News Night,” a popular current affairs program. She also covers elections for the BBC in Europe, the United States, and the United Kingdom. She, alongside two others, is the big-name presenters earning more for outside work.
Maitlis joined “Newsnight” as a relief presenter in 2006 and worked her way up and became the lead anchor after Evan Davis left in 2018. Her interview with Prince Andrew earned her the Scoop of the Year and Interview of the Year awards in February 2020.
