Emma Barnett began her journalism career in 2007 and she joined the Daily Telegraph in 2009 where she was the first digital media editor and women’s editor. After a 3 year stint at LBC, she moved to BBC Radio 5 Live in 2014.

She started her eponymous show in 2016 and in 2018, she won Radio Broadcaster of the Year. Barnett became one of the “Newsnight” presenters in 2019 and then the main anchor on “Woman’s Hour” on Radio Four in January 2021. Her salary at the BBC is said to be £240K.
