A dark-haired enigmatic beauty, Ali MacGraw hit it big in 1969 with “Goodbye, Columbus.” The following year, she earned an Oscar Best Actress nomination for “Love Story.” She kept sharpening her craft with a turn as Alan King’s mistress in “Just Tell Me What You Want” (1980).
