Crystal Gayle was also known as the real-life Rapunzel for her floor-length hair, which also contributed to her icon as a musician. Sister of singer-songwriter Loretta Lynn, Gayle established a name on her own and carved a different yet similarly successful career. She has become among the most successful crossover artists throughout the ’70s and ’80s.
