The 1984 film “Purple Rain” introduced us to Apollonia Kotero. Her performance in the film launched her as one of the brightest faces of the ’80s and was followed by appearances in “Ministry of Vengeance,” “Falcon Crest,” and “Air America.”
Apart from her onscreen charm and acting talent, another thing that brought her on top was her soulful voice, which also took part in some of her film and television appearances. She was even part of the girl group Apollonia 6, where she served as the lead singer. Kotero released the hits “Take Me with U,” “Mismatch,” and “The Same Dream.”
