She had previously worked with openly gay retired actress Kristy McNichol on the show “Family,” and had her first relationship with a woman in 2002. But she finally met her partner in Nancy Locke in 2005, and they got married in 2013. In 2020 Baxter had a role in the TV movie “Christmas on the Vine.”
