Bret Michaels – Type I Diabetes
Some stars have already struggled with medical conditions even before they rose to stardom. Bret Michaels, rock band Poison’s frontman, had been diagnosed with type I diabetes when he was just six. When he became famous, he used his voice to advocate for the illness, partnering with the American Diabetes Association along the way.
When he won “The Celebrity Apprentice” in 2010, Michaels gave the $250K-prize to the organization. Truly, the singer didn’t let his condition stop him from unleashing his full potential, still performing for his fans in 2022.
