As most parents do, Lena and Pavel had great expectations for their son, Richard. They knew that he would have better opportunities to achieve his dreams in a more developed country than Ukraine, where he was born. Thus, they made the decision to move to Pennsylvania in the United States.
After settling in, the family continued to prioritize sports. Lena and Pavel had spent their entire lives in the world of sports and were eager to resume their training. Pavel even took his son to his own training sessions, teaching him the fundamentals of Taekwondo and instilling in Richard a love for martial arts.
