Alexis and Nathan’s Struggles
Alexis and Nathan were born with cerebral palsy and spent their early years relying on walkers to navigate the world. Despite their challenges, Nathan taught himself to walk unaided. Inspired by her brother’s progress, Alexis was not far behind, and soon, the two were supporting each other toward mobility without any assistive devices.
Alexis didn’t just stop at overcoming her physical limitations. She entered beauty pageants designed for special needs children, and her efforts paid off. At age 16, Alexis won the “Teen Miss Dream Made True” title in Carroll, Iowa. She also graduated in the top 15% of her class.
