From Miracle Babies to Young Adults: Meet The McCaughey Septuplets 20+ Years Later

Free Rides Through College

When news of the septuplets’ birth hit the media, a wave of generosity followed. Among the most impactful gifts they received was a free college education. Hannibal-LaGrange University in Missouri offered scholarships to all seven kids, and the state of Iowa promised them financial support at any local institution.

Natalie, Nathan, Kelsey, and Joel chose to head to Missouri, while Kenny Jr. and Alexis opted to stay closer to home, enrolling at Mikayla Marie’s alma mater in Iowa. Brandon, however, took a different route. He decided against college, instead enlisting in the U.S. Army right after high school. He soon became a renowned sharpshooter with the U.S. Army Rangers.
