From Egypt to China: Fun Facts About the World’s Largest Military Powers
Greece

Greece has a long-standing military history dating back to the Ancient Greeks, who famously used their advanced infantry tactics in various wars. Today, they have a modern team of warriors in their armed forces who are well-respected. The Hellenic Armed Forces consist of three branches: the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force.
The Army is the largest branch with around 158,000 active personnel; the Navy is the oldest branch, having been in operation since the 12th century; and the Air Force was created in 1935, making it the most recent branch. Despite their differences, the members of the Greek Armed Forces unite in solidarity and display tremendous courage and loyalty when serving their country.
