In July 2013, Lebanese-British barrister Amal and American actor George Clooney met at his Lake Como home. A mutual friend was en route to Cannes with the lawyer, and she was introduced to the “Ticket to Paradise” star and his parents. They quickly hit it off, and after corresponding for weeks, their romance blossomed.
In October, he invited her to Abbey Road Studios for their first date. After a short engagement, the couple married at the Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice, Italy in September 2014. It was a private ceremony, and the two have been happily married ever since.
