In 2011, BBC newsreader Jane Hill revealed on Twitter her plans to marry her long-term girlfriend Sara Shepherd in a civil partnership ceremony. The star had previously been in a relationship with Chris Hollins, the winner of “Strictly Come Dancing,” and publicly outed herself as gay in the BBC in-house magazine in 2009.
Since then, her colleagues had been aware of her orientation and many were not surprised when she began to date Shepherd, a TV camerawoman, around 2008. The loving couple lives together with their dog Mavis and it seemed that this time around it is the real deal.
