ANGELA LANSBURY – (Born In 1925)

American actress and former model Gloria Hendry. She was reared in Newark, New Jersey, but was born in Florida. Her first job was as a legal secretary’s assistant at the NAACP’s New York headquarters. At this time, she started modeling as well. Because of Gloria’s exceptional modeling abilities, For the Love of Ivy, her debut film, gave her a leading role. In the 1970s, Hendry appeared in a number of blaxploitation movies, such as Across 110th Street, Slaughter’s Big Rip-Off, Black Caesar, and its follow-up, Hell Up in Harlem. She portrayed a martial arts expert in the film Black Belt Jones.
