JIM BROWN (Born In 1936)

Jim Brown was a great American professional gridiron football player who led the NFL in rushing for eight of his nine seasons. He has been claimed to be one of the most dominant players of his period and one of the greatest running backs of all time. Brown left football at the age of 30 when he appeared to be at the peak of his athletic talents to pursue an acting career.

He was in a number of action and adventure films, including The Dirty Dozen and 100 Rifles and Three the Hard Way. Brown was also involved in African Americans’ issues, founding organizations to help black-owned businesses and gang members.
