When it came to his daily driver and family vehicle, Wayne modified his 1975 Pontiac Grand Safari from George Barris. The fabricator and builder raised the Pontiac’s roof, so Wayne could climb in with his signature cowboy hat. The legendary actor passed away in 1979 from stomach cancer at the age of 72.
