Behind The Face Of An Angel: Audrey Hepburn’s Success & Secret Past

She Had A Signature Scent

In addition to clothing lines, Hubert the fashion designer dedicated a fragrance specifically to Audrey, his dearest friend and muse. For a couple of years, it was her own personal perfume. A mixture of rose, violet, and jasmine with hints of grass and forest, it was called L’interdit, which means “Forbidden.”

When Hubert asked Audrey for permission to sell it, she was rumored to have jokingly replied that he couldn’t. But during the perfume’s introduction to the public, she fronted its advertising campaign. For those who would like to try it, Audrey’s signature scent is still on the market.
