Penny Smith is a British television presenter, journalist, and author best known for her work as a co-presenter on the popular breakfast show “GMTV.”
Smith began her journalism career, working for various local newspapers in the ’70s before moving on to radio and television. In the ’80s, she worked as a newsreader for Thames Television and later for Sky News. She worked alongside fellow presenters Eamonn Holmes, Fiona Phillips, and Lorraine Kelly during her time on the show and was known for her warm and friendly on-screen persona. Living in Notting Hill, she has been in a long-term relationship with Vince Leigh.
