Flipping Pancakes and Stealing Kisses

During the 1966 Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race in Buckinghamshire, England, a man attempted to plant a kiss on his partner, only to comically miss her lips. His nose seems more successful in the endeavor than his mouth. The woman caught in this sweetly awkward moment seems to be losing grip on her pancake, likely due to her surprise.

Public displays of affection were once a rarity in England but began gaining acceptance in the swinging 1960s. Interestingly, nobody seems to mind the couple amidst the bustling crowd of fellow racers. This race has been a cherished tradition since 1445 and involves participants running while flipping pancakes in pans.
