She has become among the most successful crossover artists throughout the ’70s and ’80s.
Some of her biggest hits include the classics “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” “Ready for the Times to Get Better,” and “You and I.” She has earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Apart from music, Gayle also expanded into business and launched her fine arts shop.
Sigourney Weaver
This was Sigourney Weaver looking groovy during her peak in the ’80s. She first rose to fame for the film “Alien” which immediately earned her a British Academy nomination and reprised the role for the movie’s further installments. Her character became a widely significant female protagonist in cinema history.
That was only the beginning, as Weaver continued to rise with critically and commercially successful films such as the “Ghostbusters” film franchise, the highest-grossing movie of all time “Avatar,” and her Golden Globe-worthy performance in “Gorillas in the Mist.” She is one of the only two women to make it on Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Movie Stars of All Time.
